Want to Make Money Online? You Need to Know How to Avoid Information Overload!

If you are one of the thousands of people looking to the internet to try and get rich, make some extra cash, or just make ends meet, then you need to know how to avoid information overload.  I’m sure your Google searches have already revealed to you just how many “ways” you will be shown if you type in the simple search term “make money online”.

So exactly how does the average person find their way through this maze of results and actually get started? The answer is – they don’t! WHY? A prominent full-time internet marketer recently conducted a survey which revealed the vast majority of budding entrepreneurs had yet to even get off the ground, despite “researching” for months or even years!

avoid information overloadThey all started out with great intentions, but somehow got lost along the way with INFORMATION OVERLOAD! Which is not surprising when you see how many results are returned on Google with that one simple search term – 202 Million results last time I looked!

So the burning question is: How do you avoid Information Overload Syndrome?

#1 – GOAL SETTING

First of all, you should set yourself some definite and realistic goals so you can measure your results. Don’t simply say “I just want to make some money” or “I don’t want to be broke”. The first one is too vague and the second is too negative. A powerful technique to give yourself a positive mindset is to write your goals down, and read them over and over so you “train” your subconscious mind into growing only positive thoughts you can act upon and achieve real results from.

For example, you could say “I want to have my own website within 2 weeks”, or “I want to be earning $250 per day within 3 months”.

This way you know exactly what you want to achieve and can track your results. Above all, be realistic! The simple fact is you cannot become a Millionaire overnight unless you win the lottery or have a very very rich Uncle somewhere, despite what some of those Google results will try to tell you!

#2 – CONCENTRATE

Don’t flit from one money making idea to the next money making idea before you’ve fully implemented the first strategy to the point that you are actually making money. Don’t be one of those people who bought a whole heap of “products” because they all promised to make you rich quick. You will end up getting nowhere fast because you’ll be confused and overloaded, not to mention out of pocket! Concentrate on one particular idea first, follow it through and implement it to its fullest extent before you move onto the next thing. Don’t leave anything only half finished. Otherwise it can become a repetitive and destructive cycle which can only lead to failure.

#3 – FOCUS

A simple five letter word, but staying focused should be a major priority if you want to succeed where others have yet to even get going. Focus on what you want to achieve and how you are going to achieve it, one step at a time. Don’t focus on what you don’t want to achieve, because your subconscious mind will grow whatever seeds you plant there. Louise Hay wrote “The more you dwell on what you don’t want, the more of it you will create”. If you keep telling yourself you won’t succeed because you’re too busy, you’re too tired from your day job, or you’re too broke to even get started, then you really won’t succeed. You need to focus on what you want to achieve and don’t allow yourself to get distracted. Success won’t come instantly, but it will come if you are focussed and determined enough to actually do something to make it happen.

Staying focussed is a major point that’s made in the book, “Overcoming UBER Info Overload” by Jonny Andrews.

Jonny has quite a laid back style, as you might tell from the title, but don’t let that fool you – this guy really knows what he’s talking about and delivers top quality information in a straightforward way.

In his book he talks from personal experience and basically gives you a complete blueprint on how you can actually get started, step by step. He gives you references and links to the various tools you may need, most of which are completely FREE to download so you don’t have to start out spending a ton of money before you’ve even had chance to earn anything, which has got to be a bonus!

The really great thing about this book is that you can start out with zero knowledge or experience of making money online, utilise Jonny’s simple methods first, and then gradually move on to other methods when you have started to actually make money and feel more confident.

Jonny Andrews is a very experienced Internet Marketer and creator of various guides (including Guru Assassin and more recently, The Money Siphon System 2.0). He makes a phenomenal living from doing what he does, so if you’re going to learn how to make money online, make sure you learn from somebody who’s been there and done that – someone who not only talks the talk but also walks the walk!

    Hello Chrissy,

You have hit the nail on the head regarding information overload. I have been bogged down with it for the past few years and at last I am realising through Dave Nicholson`s training that I need to take action.

The training makes us take that action and I find now that I really enjoy writing.

I have mentioned to another student how good your “About Me” page is. I have completed mine, but yours has now inspired me to make changes to my own.

I particularly like the way you have worded the fact that you may make money from your site, but that is the way the internet works. We all have to earn an income in this world so why not be completely transparent about it.

Sounds as if you are thoroughly enjoying Australia. Some very good friends of mine recently moved from the UK to the Brisbane area and they are loving living there.

Look forward to being in contact during the training.

    Best wishes,

    Jon

Hi Jon and thanks for your kind words. This course has also rekindled my enjoyment of writing, something which I used to love as a child but somehow dropped off along the way. I’m hoping for my second article to be approved on eZine Articles so fingers crossed for that. I will drop by your site soon – see you then! ATB, Chrissy
